Course Overview:
The PADI Open Water Diver course is your gateway to the underwater world! The course includes:
- eLearning – Complete the online coursework at home.
- Pool Training – Practice in our heated pool at the shop.
- Open Water Dives – Apply your skills in a real-world setting (lake, ocean, or quarry).
Who Can Join?
- Anyone 10 years or older in good health and comfortable in water.
- Ages 10-14 can join the Junior Open Water Diver program.
- Note: Our Accelerated Class is not suitable for ages 10-11.
Medical Requirements:
Download the PADI Medical Form. If you answer "YES" to any questions, a physician’s approval is required.
Equipment You’ll Need:
You’ll need to bring your mask, snorkel, fins, and boots—available for purchase at our shop with student discounts.
Course Cost:
- $600 – Includes everything except personal gear.
- $550 per person for groups of 2+ (must register together, but can choose different class dates).
Private & Semi-Private Classes:
- Custom scheduling available for an additional $200 per person (minimum 2 weeks' notice required).
Class Formats (Offered Monthly):
- 2-Week Course – Two evenings per week (6-10 PM). Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs Option available
- 4 Day Accelerated Course – Thurs/Fri (6-10 PM) + Sat (1-7 PM) Sun (if needed)
- eLearner Accelerated – Wed-Fri (6-10 PM).
Open Water Certification Dives:
- Conducted at Lake Pleasant (Sat-Sun shore dives).
- Private Lake Dives available for an extra $200 per person.
- Traveling? We can provide referrals to PADI dive centers worldwide to complete your certification.

Check our calendar, pick a class, and sign up! If purchasing online, visit the shop at least 1 week before class to get your eLearning materials.
