PADI Rescue Diver Course

The Fun Part:

It’s designed to push your limits and build your confidence, preparing you to handle a variety of diving emergencies.
What You’ll Learn:
You’ll develop the skills needed to prevent and manage diving emergencies, including:
- Self-rescue
- Recognizing and managing stress in other divers
- Emergency management and equipment
- Rescuing panicked divers
- Rescuing unresponsive divers
The Scuba Gear You Use:
You’ll use all your basic scuba gear, including a dive computer and accessories.
Learning Materials:
The PADI Rescue Diver elearning includes everything you need for the course, including a pocket mask.
Prerequisites:
To enroll, you must be:
- 12 years or older
- A PADI Adventure Diver (or equivalent certification from another organization)
- Current in first aid and CPR within the past two years (Ask your instructor about Emergency First Response CPR and first aid courses)
- Complete the PADI Continuing Education Form and PADI Medical Form
Your Next Adventure:
After completing the CPR, first aid, and PADI Rescue Diver courses, the next step is the PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider course. These three courses together give you the tools and knowledge to handle almost any scuba emergency.
